The only problem that I have ever had with this is the light bulbs. I had gotten this at the same time I had gotten the PorterCable 19.2V Drill/Driver which was about five years ago. The bulbs that I have found for this light are just far more expensive than they should be, but you can't use a flashlighht without a bulb, so you are forced to buy the expensive bulbs or not use the light. I have never been able to find Porter Cable replacement bulbs, and when I called Porter Cable to ask about them, they were less than helpful. This is a real good flashlight. The battery life is excellent, the head gets a little hot however.
Only complaint is that the light source is not diffuse-bright, which means anything outside of its circle of light is not illuminated well. This light is very bright and seems to last for a while on the rechargeable battery.
My PC Drill burned out after 6 years of hard use - the batteries are now being put to good use with this flashlight - the light beam is nice and bright
If you need light lower, it can be laid on its side.and doesn't roll away.Would have bought extra bulbs if I knew it didn't come with an extra, there is a compartment in the head to store a extra bulb. Battery gives it a very stable base, and head locks from straight up to down about 45 degrees. Would have given it 5 stars except for spare bulb issue. Bad news first; no spare bulb (another review stated there was a spare bulb included), doesn't point downward enough (only about 45 degrees).Good news; Porter Cable quality, great if you have extra 19.2 volt batteries from other Porter Cable tools. Will be very handy during power failure, have not run a battery down yet.
I immediately got a replacement. After mis-placing it during a renovation project. This is a well balanced light with the weight in the base and an adjustable head that works as a third hand. Very good battery life (19.2v) with high end battery whether on the shelf or in use.
